Feral CatsHelp Provide Shelter for Those Who Need it Most
It is the unfortunate reality of the country we live in that cats are experiencing an epidemic of over-population. The good news is that there IS something you can do to help them.
Now that the weather is turning, it is a good time to provide shelter for stray and/or feral cats. You can open up your barn or shed to a shelter-seeking colony, you can convert an old dog house, or you can make your own shelter.
- spay and neuter all of your pets
- trap, neuter, and release stray cats
- provide food and shelter for stray cats during the cold months
- provide food for stray cats during the warm months
We are FullWe Would Love to Help Out More, But We Cannot
We have been receiving a very large number of emails recently asking us to take in additional pets--mainly due to kitten season. At Forgotten 4-Paws, we do not have the benefit of a shelter. All of our pets are housed in our foster homes, except the few that are at Easton PetSmart to be showcased. To ensure that the pets we have now receive the best possible care, we are forced to set a limit on the number of pets that can be placed in one foster home. For this reason, we are not able to take in every pet that we would like to. We are at full capacity now and are not accepting any more. Due to the bulk of emails we receive every day, any emails sent asking us to take in more pets may not be answered. Thank you for your understanding.
Seniors and PetsMaking Forever Friendships Between Senior Pets and Senior Citizen
Forgotten 4-Paws is launching a new program especially designed for qualifying senior citizens and our senior cats and dogs. This program adopts to senior citizens a well-matched senior pet. We realize that many senior citizens have limited incomes, for this reason we are offering assistance with vet bills for the remainder of our senior pet's lives. We have several pets are seniors looking for a place to retire; on the website we have Sassy and Max, Carmel, and Grumpy, but we have others who are not yet on the website. If you are a senior and are interested in adoption under the Seniors 4-Seniors Program or if you know someone who would be interested, please fill out an online adoption application, or call us at 740-652-WAGG and we can send you an application via US mail.
Drop us a LinePlease Email Us With Any Questions
We will no longer have our hotline available effective immediately. This is essential to free-up volunteers for other important areas. All questions, concerns, and requests should now be addressed to us via email, contactus@forgotten4paws.org. If you have an emergency, please contact your vet. We will respond to emails in a timely fashion, but as always, be patient around the holidays and weekends as we are all volunteers and have families and obligations just like you.
